　　潘家浩（吴启华饰）正准备和热恋中的女友伊娃（林漪娸饰）携手步入婚姻的殿堂，哪知道就在这个节骨眼上，他远在新加坡的正牌女友钟子媚忽然要来香港找他，为了隐瞒自己移情别恋的事实，潘家浩委托自己的弟弟家伟（周星驰饰）去机场接机。
　　哪知道钟子媚由于种种原因没来成，来的是她的妹妹子欣（唐丽球饰），家伟并不认识钟子媚，于是将子欣误认为了钟子媚。对于这个误会，子欣并没有澄清，而是故意假扮姐姐和家伟接触。因为愧疚感，家伟带着子欣在香港到处游玩，对子欣处处忍让讨好，随着时间的推移，两人之间竟然碰撞出了感情的火花。
