「辉哥」吴锡辉识饮识食，这次偕同「糖妹」黄山怡游走珠三角，访寻传统名菜的发源地，推介地道食材、厨师的功夫佳餚，从食物的源头探究中国饮食文化。
节目介绍中山、潮汕、顺德的名菜特產。中山脆鯇肉质爽口，辉哥、糖妹一网打尽「一鱼六吃」菜式；石岐乳鸽远近驰名，二人前往了解它的製作过程。潮汕手打鱼丸、鱼饭、蠔饼、卤水狮头鹅等，美食不能尽录……他们还拜访名厨探寻几近失传的古早潮菜。来到顺德大良，辉哥、糖妹品嚐不同种类的双皮奶；并见识均安蒸猪的烹调方法，且即席「太公分猪肉」与眾分甘同味。
各款地道美食纷陈，一道道经典名菜再现眼前，其他尚有神湾菠萝、沙溪扣肉、潮式粿品、陈村粉宴、「均安四大名菜」、非一般「九大簋」等精彩菜式食品，教人目不暇给！
经过这趟「為食之旅」，二人引领观眾见识过传统饮食的智慧，了解中华厨艺的博大精深，想必亦深深感受到传统菜式传承下去的必要性。
